The boys in Tyler Owen's car were laughing loudly, stupid grins stretching their lips and beer bottles in their hands. Of course they were underage and drinking and driving would be illegal to anyone...but it didn't matter. They were young and having fun and the drive from Megalopolis to Nikkiville was too boring without some kind of helper. In this case? Seven crazy idiots plus a cooler of alcohol and the goal of swimming in the lake. The swimming part wasn't the top reason; mostly it was just the idea of lots of girls in swim suits. After all, most of Aiden's friends were fairly good looking; all of them athletic and tall. All of them, of course, except for Aiden's best friend Jake. But that didn't stop him... he was crazier and more wild than all the rest of them combined.
When they got to the lake, it was practically a stampede to reach the water. The day was extremely hot--too hot not to be in the water--and none of them worried about keeping quiet. A boy named Jordan whooped loudly and pushed Tyler in. This, of course started a battle full of splashing and cursing.
After almost three hours of being stupid and surprisingly alcohol free, the boys had had a very good share of fun. Two or three of the boys had already found girls to harass and were lost in the world of flirting. One of them was asleep on the sand; somebody had drawn a sharpie mustache across his upper lip; something that Aiden found oddly hilarious. He then found himself sitting on the line where water met sand and sand met grass. It was a really nice day and perfect for the lake~ he just hoped that he would be home on time. If not, Aiden's mom would probably kick his butt for being out too late once again.

Alexandria started off her day like any other normal day in the summer. The typical, wake up at noon, get ready for the day, feed the siblings because mom left for work at 5am, grab her some food, and find something to do the rest of the day. Usually it was grabbing her camera and heading out the door for a few hours. A few summers ago her mother would oppose to her leaving the house to go photo shoot but her sister Arielle just turned 13 and her mother finally decided she could take care of herself, Ariana who was 8, and the younger boy Ashton, leaving Alex to do whatever she wanted...freedom!
"Arielle, I'm going to go to the lake today. Call me if you need anything. Ariana is still in bed sleeping. Wake her up soon, she doesn't need to sleep all day." She said and bent down to kiss 5-year-old Ashton on the cheek as he was watching his TV shows completely distracting from the things going on in the outside world. "Mom is coming home early today, maybe around 4." She said to Arielle, looking down at the clock seeing it was only 1. Her mother usually didn't arrive back until around 7 depending on how busy the office was. Most of the time, around the house it was just the four kids, leaving either Alex or Arielle to play the mother role for the better half of the days. Her stepdad John was away at work in Italy for the summer so he was never home.
Alexandria packed her purse full of the 'important stuff' she barley even used through the day but still brought along. "No party's while I'm gone. I love you guys!" She yelled into the house as she walked out of the door. The garage was very muggy because of the horrid heat outside. So she made it an effort to get in the car and out of there as fast as she could.
She drove and drove down to the lake where there was a little beach where many people gathered on hot days. It was perfect substitutable for Oceanview Avenue Beach where people were packed in like sardines. Sure it wasn't as 'fancy' or whatever, but it was perfectly fine with her, who needs fancy anyway. It was like, for the rich kids, if you didn't go to OVA then you weren't cool. But to her, none of that mattered. As long as she had a good weather, cold water, and sand she didn't see why it was a big deal.
After what seemed like near endless driving though it'd only been around 10 minutes, she reached Lake Clay. The beach was filled with people and it was only 1:30. 'Better get a spot before there are none' She thought, parking her car in the parking lot, if you could call it that. It was more like a field of grass that was dubbed as a parking lot over time. She went to the trunk and pulled out a towel, umbrella, and beach bag. In the beach bag she had sunscreen (of course), a book to read, notepads to draw on, shovels to play in the sand, and a photo album to get inspiration from.
She carried it all out onto the beach and laid it out. She always set down the towel and then put the umbrella at the to of the towel so her face would be shaded by the blistering sun. "Finally. Peace..and rest." She said. She set down all her stuff and then took her top clothes off, revealing her cute striped bikini. She looked out onto the lake and saw people enjoying their time, she wanted to as well but her eyes instantly got very heavy. She wrapped her camera strap around her wrist a few times for safety and laid down. 'Might as well take a nap' she thought. Who would it hurt, as long as her camera was securely tucked to her side, all would be great.
'Gasp!!!' was all that came out of her mouth when her phone rang loudly into her ear. She looked at the clock and it was 4. "My god. I slept that long!" She said in disbelief. She couldn't believe it'd been nearly 3 hours. She checked her phone and it was just a message from her best friend Cayenne. It just said a simple 'Hey Alex!' She forgot she put it on loud but was happy she did because if she hadn't gotten awake who knows how long she would have slept. It could have even possibly been until the AM.
She rubbed her eyes and looked out onto the full beach. Tons of new faces had appeared in the course of three hours. People stood out though, a group of teenage boys that were all spread out around the beach. Many of the flirting with other girls. 'Sure glad that isn't me' She thought to herself. She picked up her phone and quickly replied to Cayenne with a short simple 'Hey'.
Looking back up from her phone she noticed a boy, tan and sexy walking her way. But, he had that look, a sort of jerkish look, that made her not want to deal with him at the moment. "Spoke to soon." She said to herself as he approached her. "Hey sexy." He said with a little school boy grin on his face. She stayed sitting down and didn't bother to stand up to face him at standing level "Uhm, hey." She said, coughing between the uhm and hey. "Uhm. look, I don't want to deal with someone like you right now, so could you find some other girl to bug?" She said with an annoyed look on her face.
She kind of hoped more than anything someone else would walk up to her, someone to save her from talking to this boy that she had no interest in talking to, because for some reason she had it figured this boy wasn't going to leave her that easy. [/blockquote] word count:// 1005 ooc:// i hope you like it. its not that great haha (:

About...oh maybe ten or twelve feet away from Aiden, there was a blonde girl. It might be creepy to say so but he'd sort of been watching her for a while. When she got to the lake, she'd taken off her day clothes and had just fallen asleep. She didn't bother with sunscreen which seemed slightly daring and she didn't go in the water. It seemed peculiar to come here and then just nap the time away. Aiden really couldn't talk though...he was being ultra lazy. And stalkery. But not really. Every ten minutes he'd glance up to see if she was still there, still asleep, etc. etc.
The last time the gray-eyed boy checked, she had in fact finally moved but it seemed that her nap was ended only so that an annoying dickhead--Aiden had never met him--could start bothering her. No, Aiden didn't know him. 'He must be from OVA...' Aiden thought absently. Though he went to school a town over, he still knew a fair number of the regular students here. Except for the girl...and the weirdo jock guy.
Maybe Aiden was tall and good looking and all that, he wasn't cocky. This guy, the one talking to Blondey over there just reeked of arrogance. Aiden instantly wanted to punch him in the face. But then, he realized there was no reason to feel that way other than the fact that he was--not drunk--but a little bit off from the beer he'd had before. Or maybe he was just freaking weird. He was inclined to think it was probably a combination of the two that made him feel so oddly violent. Or maybe it was just because that girl had been minding her own business until then. Maybe he was jealous. Should he intervene? Or...would that put him on the same level as Mr. Muscles over there?
The answer to whether or not the girl wanted him there became obvious as the she raised her voice to (politely) ask (tell) him to get away. Aiden laughed at this...thinking the guy deserved it though he still didn't leave. In fact, he proceeded to linger by the girl and from Aiden's perspective; look down her bikini top.
Aiden was still watching curiously like the observant freak he was when he decided--mostly because of the look on the girls face which screamed 'get him away from me'--that she needed someone to step in. So, without a second thought, Aiden stood up from the comfy place he'd had in the sand, stretched and made his way the twelve feet over.
"Hey, Emily! How are you? Haven't' seen you in forever!" Aiden grinned, deciding to continue being a weirdo. Maybe the dude would get the message. Aiden then plopped down next to Blondie and squinted up at their not-so-friend. "Can I help you?" He asked and put on his best protective look. He could pretend he knew her...that would work.
And it did. Muscles made a face and moved on to the girl he saw.
"Well...sorry about that. You didn't want him around, right? I'm Aiden by the way." Aiden stretched out his hand which had a bit of sand on it...but then again what didn't? They were at a beach...
ooc;; aha! It was like...half of yours but still! I'm impressed that I wrote that much. :P && when i meant that the creepy jock dude was probably looking down her shirt...not that aiden was. x) that was kind of unclear... weird writing, wasn't it?

Alexandria was starting to get really annoyed with this strange teenager. He would not leave her alone. It didn't matter how many times she told him to get away, or said please, he just would not leave. But, thankfully someone came to her rescue.
She didn't seem to know this guy either. It was weird, it really wasn't that big of a place, the island. But yet, she didn't know anyone at the beach right now. She usually at least knew someone, like an old teacher, or a friend of her moms, or one of Arielle's little friends, but today no-one.
Alex was still sitting down when this guy came up to her and started talking like he knew her. But he didn't use her name. He used 'Emily', which confused her at first. "My na---" She started but then stopped after she realized what was going on. She was about to say that her name wasn't Emily. But this teenage guy was just trying to get the creeper away. "CARSON!!" She said loudly in a very cheery mood. "Long time no see! How have you been!" She answered back as this guy plopped right down next to her.
It worked, the creeper walked away, onto the next girl he could find to harass. 'Carson' continued to talk as the guy walked away. But his voice was hushed so that the creeper wouldn't hear him. "Of course I didn't want him around. Thank you so much by the way. You're a life saver." She winked. His real name was Aiden, that was better than Carson but she would have to hold onto that, to tease him with it, a nickname. "Hello Aiden. I'm Alexandria, not Emily." She smiled and accepted his handshake. 'Wow, he's realllllllly cute.' kept running through her mind.
She kept staring at this Aiden kid blankly. For some reason, she just couldn't stop staring at him. "Hold on." She smiled, getting her camera out of it's case and into her hands. She turned it on and pointed it at Aiden quickly taking a picture before he had the chance to smile. "Okay, now smile." She laughed, taking another picture.

'Emily' almost started to slip up and ruin his act, ruin her chances of losing the loser with the obviousl god-complex but she caught on just in time. Aiden almost thought it was the look he'd given her; the widening of his grey-green eyes and the tightening of his lips. But anyway, yeah. She got it. And he then had a new name. Carson. He kinda liked it, actually.
"Glad you didn't... I was scared for a minute that I ran off your secret love or something. You were sending out 'help me' vibes." Aiden smiled a smile that was kind of the equivalent of sticking out your tongue without actually doing it. He had a kind smile that usually came off friendly and amused. And white teeth, finally. Thank God. They used to be bad...
"Oh no problem. That's what most of the ladies tell me." He teased and squished the urge to touch her shoulder or mess up her hair. "Well, Alex, not Emily, it's nice to meet you. It's cool that you have an A name~ makes ya' instantly cooler in my book."
Aiden smiled again and looked across the water as they both became silent. It was a really nice day...there was nice, warm sunshine, a small breeze which blew both his and Alex's hair lightly. He was only wearing his swim trunks which were green (his favorite color) and matched his eyes. The green-eyed boy often went shirtless...it's like shirts restrained his awesomeness. (totally jk). So he had a pretty nice tan...a few sprinklings of freckles. And he only then realized he'd called her 'Alex' not Alexandria. They were both nice names but Alex was easier to say.
"I hope--." Aiden stopped, his lips slightly parted as Alex took his picture. "Oh... well hello there." He laughed and found his picture taken again. "And to what do I owe that honor? I'm guessing you like photography. And...what was I saying before?"
"Oh..yeah. I hope you don't mind me calling you Alex...it sorta' just came out that way." Aiden scratched the back of his head and continued soaking up the sun like a sponge. He was having more fun with Alexandria than he'd had with his other friends all day.

"Oh yeah. You totally ran off my secret love. How could you do something like that. We were totally going to get married and have a nice little family." She said seriously, but then couldn't help but let out a little giggle. "Juuuuust kidding. Those help vibes worked then because I sure needed help. He wouldn't leave!" She said looking over at the guy who was flirting with her who was now flirting with another girl, and she was suprisingly flirting back.
He gave her brownie points for having a name that starts with the letter A and that made her smile. "I love A names!" She laughed. "My whole family basically starts with A names actually. My sister's are Arielle and Ariana. My brother is Ashton. My mom is Angela. And...well I don't really know my dad but..his name is Abrahm." She said trailing off, thinking of her dad, who left when she was only 4. Since then her mom met John who had Ariana and Ashton. "Oh, and my stepdad...his name is John. He doesn't really fit in." She laughed. It was funny, surrounded by A names, and having the name John. (:
He laughed when she snapped his picture twice. "Yeah, I'm into photography, and someone as cute as you just seemed like a perfect target for a photo." She laughed, but started blushing a little after calling him cute. She hoped he didn't mind. She took another picture when he was talking and it turned out really cute. "Nope, Alex is perfectly fine, that's what everyone calls me. Alexandria is such a hassel to say, so long and stuff. Plus, lazy is my middle name." She winked and took yet another picture of Aiden.
She glanced over at the boys acting like lunatics, one waving at Aiden. "Do you know them?" She giggled, staring at the boys who were all hanging around in the same place, glancing over at Aiden every once in a while.

"Ah man... me and my big mouth. Sorry about that," Aiden winked. He hoped she wouldn't marry somebody like the other guy and then realized that was a weird thing to hope for somebody he didn't really know. They other guy who had already made it to second base with the girl he'd been flirting with. Aiden looked the other way; not wanting to see the guy's open...vulgarness and the girls equal sluttyness. All his friends were staring though. Oh well. Maybe the two made a perfectly nasty little couple. Great for them.
"That's crazy...we don't really have a theme going for us. My mom is Kelly and my dad is Bryan. And then there's Amma, Reece, Ethan, Brady and Noelle." Well...maybe him and Amma shared a letter but still. "We're a real Brady bunch." He said offhandedly. They kinda were. His mom ran a daycare at their house so it was always full of kids. Even if there weren't a bunch of other kids there, six biological kids were a lot. And having five siblings wasn't exactly easy. But whatever...they managed just fine.
"You take pictures of cute people? Well I'm flattered. But can I see it for a second?" Aiden held out his hand for her camera, entirely unsure if she'd actually hand it over.
She next asked if he knew the rowdy group of guys a bit away and Aiden had to nod yes. Yes, he did. As much as they embarrassed him to no end. "Naturally. They're all nuts, I swear." He smiled and then waved back at his friends who were acting like complete dorks. Especially Jake who was pretending to kiss air and made dumb lovey faces at Aiden and Alex sitting there together. They were only talking... Aiden flipped the guys off and stuck out his tongue at the same time.
"Oh... sorry about that." Aiden blushed...he hadn't meant to do something like than in front of a girl. He was usually more well-mannered. d:

"Ah man... me and my big mouth. Sorry about that," Aiden winked. Alex laughed, "Good going. Running off my future husband, now I must settle for someone else!" She said dramatically doing the whole 'gasp' hand on forehead thing. She liked this guy for some reason, she could be herself around him naturally, which was something that usually took time to build up.
Aiden named off all of his family, no theme going on, just several names. "Jeez, that's a lot of people. But it'd be nice to have that many people I'd think. I only have 3 siblings, but I could settle for more." She smiled. She never fought with her siblings, they just naturally got along. Of course, her and Arielle would argue every now and then but usually they were all just one big happy family. "What are their ages?" She asked, curious. (:
Aiden smiled saying he was flattered and then reached out his hand for the camera asking if he could see it for a second. At first she hesitated, she usually didn't let anybody touch it, no matter who it was, not even Arielle was usually allowed to touch it. It was like a sacred item to her, usually packed away in her case. It was surprising she didn't have a lock on the case. "Uhm, yeah sure." She smiled handing it over. Her smile was a smile of trust, for some reason, she trusted this complete stranger.
Alex laughed as he reacted to his friends, especially one who was making kissy faces and stuff, trying to embarrass Aiden who was probably nonetheless, unintentionally blushing. He flipped them off and stuck out his tongue but soon after-wards apologized for his actions. "Ehh, no big deal. Don't worry about it." She laughed. It was cute how he apologized, most guys wouldn't. They would just continue their life's as if nothing had even happened.
"I don't think my friends would behave any better actually. I have mostly guy friends, and then those close girl friends you gotta keep around." She laughed. Her two best friends are Jacob and Isabella. They would usually be right there with her at the lake but Isabella was in Colorado skiing and having fun with her family for the month. And Jacob was visiting family in Chicago for the month. It was upsetting that they both picked the same month to be gone. Especially since you had to fly to get to America, but whataever...they'd be back soon enough.

"I wouldn't worry about it though, if I were you. You'll have plenty of guys lined up in no time. " 'Like Me'. It was a weird thought but he, like everyone else, couldn't control the thoughts that passed through. His brain was always working in weird ways anyway. It kind of had to be if you had as many siblings as he did... it was think fast, stay alive. d:
"Ages? Oh man... well. Reece is seventeen. She's my twin." Aiden smiled and then added, "But she's way better looking than me. But that's okay, cause' I'm the smart one." He was only joking. Reece was way smart too. "Then there's Amma and she's thirteen. Ethan and Brady are seven and Noelle is two. Twins kinda run in the family." He paused. "How old are yours?"
For a moment, after requesting to see her camera, Aiden saw the reluctance she had and almost felt bad for asking. He could kinda tell she didn't just pass it around to everyone. A) By said reluctance and B) because of the just-like-new quality of her camera. It was really nice.
"Thanks, Alex." He said and studied it for a minute. And then, taking his new friend off guard, returned the favor capturing her picture. The image showed Alex's slightly flushed cheeks and pretty, bright hair. She looked mildly surprised but more relaxed. The photo was throughly candid which was the whole point. He doubted she had many of those of herself. "There you go, Miss Alexandria. Another (ridiculously) cute picture to your collection."
Aiden gave her a boyish grin, hoping he wasn't in trouble or going over some weird line by outwardly calling her ridiculously cute. Well she was. So there.
"Same here. I mean...except for the girl friends part. I only have a few. Girl friends. I mean...like girls who are friends." He flubbed, sounding so stupid. For some reason, he didn't want Alex thinking he was taken. He wasn't... there was a girl who really liked him back at school but he didn't return the feelings.
Words;; 364 Notes;; I really like these two.(: <3

Alex laughed at what Aiden said, because it was true. Every since middle school guys were always all over her. They were always wanting to have a chance with her, to be with her. It annoyed her though, all the attention got to her. She needed that time to be alone which she rarely ever got. That's why she came to the beach, to be alone. Of course, she wasn't literally 'alone' but nobody ever acknowledged her there so it made her feel alone. Though, Aiden was a very good exception to the 'alone' concept, she didn't mind him. (:
"You have a twin?! That's so cool!!!!!! I've always wanted a twin!" Alex exploded after he listed off the ages of his siblings. There were two twins in the family. Aiden and Reece, and Ethan and Brady. She always thought it'd be cool to be twined with someone, or have twins in the family, and Aiden had both, so lucky.
"My siblings? Well.. I don't have any twins. But, since you said you're age, I'll tell you mine." She winked. "I'm Seventeen as well. Arielle is thirteen and Ariana is 8. Of course, then theres little Ashton who 5." She smiled thinking of Ashton. Her siblings were her whole entire world. Everything she worked for and the reason she was always smiling.
When Aiden took her camera he immediately flipped it around and captured a photo of her. "Wait, what?!" She giggled. "I so wasn't ready for that!" He gave back the camera saying something about how there was another cute picture on there. He called her cute which made her cheeks blush a rosey red. She didn't know what to say at that particular moment so she just took her camera back with a smile and tucked it away inside its case.
She giggled at Aiden as he kept fixing is words trying to find what to say so that it didn't make it sound like he had a girlfriend, which made Alex form a tiny smile on her face. "I get what you mean." She laughed. He was so cute, the way he was stumbling over words. She really hoped he liked her, because she really liked him. (: ooc:// well that sucked xD

After sitting and annoying talking to Alex for a little while longer, the sun was beginning to hint at setting and Aiden could feel his stomach as well, begin to try and get his attention. After a minute, it gave a particularly loud growl which made him look sharply down in shock. It sounded like... a freaking dragon or something.
"Whoa," he grinned and glanced down at his bare and flat tummy. It growled again. And then, it was just about that time when he noticed Jake coming their way.
Jake was sixteen and remarkably short for his age... in school people started shit with him all the time just for that reason. Aiden tried to intervene when he could but that didn't always stop it. He was stick thin and could tuck more food away than aiden would ever hope to. He had bright blue eyes and sandy blonde hair and was wearing his maroon swim-trunks. [ooc; just a visual...lol; bic]
"What's up?" Aiden asked, looking up at his friend who was now blocking the orangey sun. "Who's this?" Jake asked with a sly smile. That was another thing about Jake; it always looked like he was up to something which was probably true.
"Oh. My bad." Aiden grinned and gestured to Alex. "Jake, this is Alex and Alex, this is my insane brother from another mother, Jake." All Jake said was, "Hiya," and then continued on with a long string of words that no one but Aiden could possibly understand.
It went a little something like this: "If you don't hurry up right now, all the hot dogs will be gone because, well, ya know how Chris eats and how I do and I know you're all picky with yours so get your butt over there before it's all gone and yeah. Oh and you can bring girlie along too." Jake took in a small gasp of air, given how he must've said all that in under thirty seconds, he probably needed it.
"Translation," Aiden said, "We're having hot dogs and, well...I'd love it if you'd come too." He smiled his best boyish smile. He'd always been good at the pleading eye thing... he'd been a cute little kid and hadn't grown out of that part. "C'mon," He stood up next to Jake who was glancing back at the food like he hadn't eaten in days--and held out his hand to help Alex up.
He really did hope she'd come with him...
[/justify] note;; this is probably hellishly confusing so i apologize. d: here's the run-down: aiden's friends are gonna have hotdogs cos its suppertime... (like7:40) and...they want them to join.

The sun began to lower in the sky which surprised Alex greatly. She looked down at her phone. She couldn't believe it was that late already, time sure passed by, especially when you take a nap for most of the day. She subtly jumped at her stomach growling because she didn't think she was hungry, or should be hungry, it felt like she just ate. But, time sped up on her and it was already basically dinner time. She laughed when Aiden's stomach growled as well and he said 'Whoa'. "My stomach is rumbling too! I didn't know it was so late already!" She exclaimed with a giggly tone.
She tilted her head in momentary confusion (like a puppy) as this blonde guy she wasn't familiar with, walked up to her and Aiden. He was actually pretty cute, but in her mind no where compared to the sexiness rolling off of Aiden. (; . Anyway, he walked up to Aiden and Aiden did the little cute 'What's up?' That makes you want to die because for some reason it's extremely sexy. You know what I mean.
"Who's this." Was Aiden's reply and it made her want to disappear into the sand. She didn't really like being introduced to new people, especially her age. Aiden was fine because he came to her, but being introduced she wasn't a huge fan of...oh well. Aiden answered back with the dreaded, yet expected, meeting of his blonde guy. Jake just replied with a quick 'Hiya' and Alex just managed to get in a quick, shy 'hi' before Jake started in with a long words that seemed like a bunch of babble to Alex but she managed to kind of catch some of what he was saying. Something about Chris, Hot dogs, and Jake called her 'Girlie' which made her crack a small smile.
Aiden translated it into a two sentence thing basically saying that his friends were having hot dogs and that he would love for her to come along. Her mind was going crazy. 'Oh my gosh. He wants me to go with him?! To meet his friends?! and eat hot dogs.?! I mean sure, they are just hot dogs, but this is a major hot guy we are talking about and...hot dogs...hot guys..it goes together!..and oh my gosh what should I say? If I said no then he would probably never talk to me again, or think I never ate? If I said yes...well theres not really any consequences to that but...if I said yes...I get free hot dogs, and a good time with a really hot guy and his friends and everything....though...I'll get way nervous, and if I go..I'll be socially awkward and I'll get weird looks. What if they don't like me? What if Aiden doesn't like me? Oh my gosh!!'
Those were all the things running in her mind from the time he said "Cmon...." to the time he got up and held out his hand in offering. "Sure..." was all her mouth could process out of everything that just went through her mind in the time span of 10 seconds. When she touched his hand whenever he helped her up it was like a momentary freak out moment in her brain. His hands were soft, and warm...and amazing, she almost didn't let go but she had to come to her senses and release, even though thats the last thing she wanted to do.
She had to pack up her beach bag and camera of course. There was no way she was leaving her camera unguarded with a bunch of unfamiliar people, no way in hell. She just put the strap around her nice and wore it like a necklace, that way she was for sure nobody was going to touch it. Most things she just left by her towel, she figured nobody would bother taking that stuff. "Alright, so hot dogs! I'm excited now. I'm so hungry!" She said to Aiden. She was standing extremely unintentionally close to Aiden basically touching his shoulder with her own, but when she realized it she moved over a couple inches and her face flushed a shade of red in momentary embarrassment from being so close.

"Well if we're actually both as hungry as our stomachs say, then we'd better hurry. Because... well if your friends are like mine, the food will be gone in about a minute and a half." Aiden winked and sort of guided Alex while still booking it to the place his pack of wild friends picked to settle for the time being. It just so happened to be a place sort of by the lake but a bit away and had a picnic table and a bunch of trees (one of them had a tire swing out into the water).
About half way to their make-shift picnic area, Jake had abandoned them to grab a plate and fill it with loads of food. But Aiden got them both there before it was too late...kinda. There were three hot dogs left. "Wow, guys. Totally feeling generous today, hmm?" He grabbed up one hot dog and left Alex to have the rest if she wanted. The guys all just mumbled stuff or gave him crap; harmless, of course. For instance, "You eat like a fuckin' bird anyways." Which was true... he didn't eat a whole lot for a teenage boy. There were chips and Solo cups of Pepsi and water bottles too so it was all good. He chose the Pepsi.
A few of the other guys had brought 'dates' to have hot dogs too and there were exactly two spaces left at the table. "Hope you don't mind sitting next to one of them," He said with a small, amused smile and gestured to the empty space.
Aiden sat next to a guy named Cody who was really weirdly tall and way skinny. He had black hair that was kinda long but not really. Mostly, the guy was just quiet so he wouldn't be bugging Alex much. And Alex had met Jake so it wouldn't be so bad to sit next to him anywayz.
ooc; totally a crap reply on my part... sorry D:

Alex watched the surroundings gradually change around her as they entered the picnic area of the Lake grounds. There were actually a lot of people there, more then she expected. She glanced over at it earlier, but the amount had multiplied from then so it kind of surprised her. She wasn't a huge fan of people, so this should be interesting. She tolerated them, sure...but they were annoying, most of them. Plus, she was really shy when it came to new people, so it was about to become a social disaster if they wanted to start any kind of conversation with her. If Aiden talked to her then she would be fine, she felt more comfortable around him, but if some random guy or even girl started talking to her, she'd instantly freeze up.
When they approached the actual rendezvous she saw where she was sure many hot dogs once layed, that now only 3 remain. Aiden made a remark about it and one of friends made a smart ass comment back saying he didn't really eat that much anyway. He only grabbed one hot dog leaving two behind for Alex but she really only wanted 1. She felt like 2 would make her seem like a pig though most of the people have 3 hot dogs layed across their plate. She picked up the ketchup and squeezed it on the hot dog and then did the same with the mustard shortly after. She turned to the extra stuff like tomatoes, relish, onions. She usually loved putting onions on her hot dog, but that would make her breathe stink and after just meeting potentially the hottest guy on the whole Island of Escape, that wouldn't be a very attractive thing to do. So staying safe, she just went plain hot dog and stuck with just ketchup and mustard.
Alex grabbed a little pack of Doritos that were sitting on the table for people to take, and then reached down in the cooler to grab a bottle of water. There wasn't really much of a choice..pepsi or water, and naturally she picked water. Water was like air to her, if she didn't almost always constantly have it with her she would die. In fact, if you were to look in her beach bag right now it's an almost guarantee you will find a bottle of water in there.
Aiden and Alex both went to the table where only 2 spots remained. She glanced around at the people at the table trying not to make the situation awkward. There were more guys than girls, but the fact that there were girls there other then her was somewhat irritating to her. Something about teenager girls in this generation made her shy away from them. They were basically all bitches, you had to find the few that you could really trust and be friends with that wouldn't judge you, talk about you behind your back, or steal your boyfriend from you.
She sat next to Aiden (of course) and Jake who she had just previously met so it wasn't such a bad deal after all. She sat down on the bench and scooted as close and she physically could to Aiden. He may have thought she was weird at the current moment but she didn't care, it made things more comfortable for her. She took the first bite into her hot dog as some guys were already finished with the first hot dog and onto the second.
Her mind was started to go insane again. 'Oh my gosh. I'm touching him. Our bodies are physically touching each other! I wonder if he thinks I'm weird. He probably does, who wouldn't? Oh, he's so cute. I wonder what he thinks of me. I wonder if he likes me. Does he think I'm cute, or does he think I'm ugly. Well, he can't think I'm ugly if he approached me and started talking to me and stuff right?!?! but who knows. This could all be a joke, what if he's really a jerk. I don't think he is though, he's so hot. So....hot. Should I keep eating? I kind of forgot about my hot dog just sitting there. These boys are crazy. Some have already ate 3! I can barley eat one. Oh, I better take another bite.'
She rambled on her brain, making no sense to even herself. One thing she knew for sure is that this Aiden guy was remarkably cute and was acknowledging her, so she was going to take advantage of it, it rarely happened. She took a second bite of her hot dog and then looked back up at all the people. Some were being quiet and some were being really loud. It was mostly the guys being rowdy and the girls keeping their voices hushed.
She was still really close to Aiden but not as extremely close as she was a minute ago. She was at least a foot away from Jake on the bench and once an inch away from Aiden. (: To say the least, she was enjoying it (;

So as they sat at the long yet cram-packed table, Aiden couldn't help but smile at the almost timid way his new friend was acting. At fist, when he'd seen her interacting with that dude, when he'd really noticed her, she seemed anything but shy. Totally one to speak for herself... but maybe they were similar in that way. Aiden wasn't exactly what you'd call shy~ he just didn't go around wasting his breath spouting nonsense 24/7. He wondered, in between weird and short conversations with his friends, what Alex might be thinking right then. She was awfully quiet. Did she think the hot dog was okay? Was she mad at him for dragging her here? One way to find out.
"So how's the hot dog?" He said with a smile, knowing absolutely that that was the lamest conversation starter in the history of, well.. at least the last five minutes. There were some pretty lame conversations floating around. For instance, two girls at the end opposite end of the table were comparing bra sizes and other things of the like. Anyway, after taking another bite (finishing his hot dog and beginning on a bag of Ranch Doritos) he said, "Hope you're not too mad at me for dragging you here."
The way Aiden and Alex were sitting... they were really close. Aiden was near the end of the table and Alex was closer to Jake. Apparently, either she didn't like Jake or she really liked Aiden because the difference in space was pretty obvious. He kinda liked it. But even then, the gap between Jake and Alex wasn't far enough to keep his curious friend away.
Jake turned to them, stealing a couple of Aiden's chips and eying Alex's too. After a brief 'what the heck? no,' shake of the head from Aiden, his grabby friend forgot his idea of stealing Alex's food too. "So," Jake said with his mouth half full. What a charmer. "You and Aiden, huh? He's so handsome," Jake teased and made to pinch Aiden's cheek like a sappy old grandma.
Aiden slapped his friends hand away and sort of blushed. Sometimes, he hated his friends. And then Jake continued. "So you like photography? Are you really good?" He turned to face the two A named teens as he asked this question. He still had ketchup and some unrecognizable condiment on his hand as he reached forward, as if to grab for Alex's camera.
"Stop," Aiden said, and threw a chip at his friend. "Sorry about that... he doesn't have any manners," he said with a roll of his big eyes.
ooc;; lol idk.
