Sam had just gotten off of work and was making his way to the apartment he shared with Cole, when he saw a girl just sitting by herself outside a giant house. She looked sad and there was something else about her but Sam just couldn't put his finger on it.
She appeared to be alone so it should have been normal that it was quiet to him, but it was something else as well. Her thoughts didn't shout at him. They were more like tiny little whispers he could barely make out. How could this be? It couldn't. And yet, it was happening right now before his very eyes. Attachments:

Missy ejoyed the day as it was, though she hoped for it to rain. Saddly the sky had no clouds in sight. She sat on the porch of her house, that she hated, in shorts, a young and restless t-shirt,her yellow hightop converse, and a small hello kitty bow in her hair. She didnt feel like going back in since her mom was doing her cleaning and if she got in the way that would lead straight to a huge screaming fest. Which she really wanted to avoid. She cursed silently toward her parents.
Missy's mom who was slightly on the heavy side popped out from the door. "Take dog." She said in her heavy korean accent. Potato the small sandy poodle came runnning to Missy while the dog cowarded from her mom. Missy didnt say anything to her mother, and she didnt even have a chance because she retracked back into the house like a snap of a rubber band.
Missy held the dog in her arms, being protective of her small source of joy. "You poor baby. Im sorry potato that she was being mean" She said in her baby voice that she only spoke to her dog. Missy petted the dog on the fluff ontop of her head. Though the comfort of her dog didnt really lift her spirits. "What do you want to do today?" She said in a quiet sad tone.
Potato wiggled from her arms. "Hey?" she said confused. Small potato ran from her arms and ran to the person walking down the sidewalk. Little potato barked at him unsure. "He wont do anything" Mila said as she got up and swung her backpack over her shoulder. Potato clawed at his leg to be picked up and wimpered. Missy rubbed her fingers on her palm noticing his sexy looks. She felt something different about his person but didnt know what it was, but she really didnt care.

Before he even knew what was happening, Sam was being bombarded by a small piece of fur that looked oddly enough like a tuber. "Whoah boy!" he said. Sam had always been good with animals and this little fuzz ball was no exception. "Do you want me to pick you up boy?" The dog continued to look at him expectantly. "Okay, come here boy." he said and held his arms out for the dog to run into. The dog was happily to oblige and Sam had to admit, he was so glad that he couldn't read animals minds as well. It made them a lot more enjoyable to be around.
He got so caught up in playing with the dog that it never crossed his mind to look for the owner. After his senses had returned to him he proceeded to walk down the street until he found the owner. It was the same girl from earlier the 'quiet' one. She gave him a look that was mostly unreadable and started to walk towards him. All of a sudden something came over Sam and he wanted nothing more at that moment than to be near her. So he ran, not walked, over to where she was and just stood there. What is going on? Snap out of it Sam say something. After a few seconds of awkward silence his brain woke up again and he started to try and make small talk with her. At the back of his mind though, he could almost swear that she had heard his thoughts. Or at least that she knew he had been thinking. He could just be getting paranoid. That had been happening a lot lately.
He didn't even remember what they were talking and he didn't really care. Just being around her gave him some kind of euphoric feeling. All of the thoughts of the past and Tobi just seemed to melt away. She whispered calm into his heart and for the first time in a long time, Sam was at peace.

The person who had her 'rabid' dog, potato, was cradling him. Seeing the guys kind disposition made a small smile creep upon her lips. Any friend of her dog was a friend of hers. That is so true because her dog had sharp senses, picky with the people he likes, and she trust his judgment completely. The kind guy ran to her to return her lovable doggy. His run held a eager feel to it. He ran as if he was running to his lost love or someone dear to him. She still had that small smile planted on her cheeks that seemed to grow when they met face to face.
Her last words holding in the air but it didn't seem as awkward. They kinda just stood there staring at each other. She heard something it sounded like a guy it was faded and could make it out barely. She didn't know where it came from but thought it might have been someone in the distance.
She strangely felt attached to him already an Missy bit her bottom lip. For the first time she wasn't thinking about the accident. "Thats potato." She said stepping closer to him to pet potato. The dog licked her hand and wagged it stubby tail but was split between Missy and the new stranger. "I'm Missy" She looked up at him with a smile. She could have swore she has met him before, but she would remember a face like his. "You?" She asked eager to hear his name.

Her voice was like honey. Smooth as silk. "What's your name silly? she asked him. It was at this moment that Sam realized he had been zoning out again. He gathered himself and quickly made an impression that he had been listening intently to her. "Potato? That's such a cute name. Unfortunately mine isn't as cute. Samuel Micheal Connor at your service Miss Missy." He stared into her eyes momentarily and started to ask her things about herself. "So, is this where you live?"

It seemed it took him awhile to answer her though maybe he was thinking about what he was going to say. That was Missy's guess. "We are gonna have to have our puppies meet one day" She said really to herself and meant to think that but it was loud enough that he could hear. Her small habit of randomly saying whats shes thinking. She smiles as she petted her dog again wanted to have his and hers meet.
Missy looked up at him. "Nice to meet you Samuel Micheal Conner." She said with a big smile. He stared into her eyes for a few seconds though to her it felt like minutes. She had to catch her breath for she forgot for a second. ~This has never happened before~ She thought to herself.
"Oh" She said quietly breaking her captivated spell he had casted. "Yeah this is the ol'house not to much of a home." She said with a smirk. ~The place I cant wait to leave~ She stared at the ground and played with the small crack in the side walk. She looked back up at him and when looking at him she didn't want to be sad and his presence made her happy.
"So what cha doing on this fine day?" She said with a smile and rocking on her heels. She was curious and wanted to be with him as long as she could.

She seemed to be sad. Very sad. There was something about how she had mentioned the "house not home" that didn't stick right with Sam. She tasted funny to him in his mind. It wasn't even her 'murmuring'. Something had happened to really hurt this girl. But, what could it be?
Yet again he could almost swear that she had heard him.Maybe she's a Psykid just like me. It took awhile for him to snap out of it and realize that she had asked him a question. "Well, I work up the road and your dog kind of attacked me. So, I guess I came over to return your dog. He reminds me a lot of my old dog Kana. She's gone now but they act really similarly.
Now things were just starting to get awkward. He had to figure out some way to see her again but also leave before he ruined his chances. Before he could even think those most vexing words came out of his mouth. "Would you want to go get coffee tomorrow around 330? That's when I get off. I'd love to get to know you better." he said with what he hoped was a handsome smile on his face. It felt more like a piece of cheese that just wouldn't be scrubbed off.

She heard the voice in the back round again, this time she kinda looked around to see who it was. But since she already though it was someone in the distance she didn't think about it to much. Missy didn't realize that for the first time she heard someones else's thoughts but hers, though only limited to this stranger.
Hearing that he work up the road made her make frequent plans to visit his work place where ever it was. She laughed to his "attack" part about her dog, if you can call it that. "Yeah a attack of love and kisses...which he doesn't do alot" She said raising her eyebrow to him in a playing manner, almost like she was 'suspicious' of him.
He brought up the returning her dog part making her think that this whole meeting was over, which made her squish her mouth to the side in disappointment. She rocked on her heals again but this time in disappointment as they stood there. Missy trying to think of a way for them to meet again. ~Think think think think think~ Thankfully he spoke up asking to go get coffee sometime. "Yeah same here" She said bubbling over with eagerness. Her tack of blurting it out surprised her. A smile was peaking through her closed lips. He cheeks flaring a rosing color seeing that smile plastered on his flawless skin. She bit her lip.
She honestly wanted to twirl and dance at that moment but she held to standing there. "Oh here" She said reaching for her dog that Samuel was still holding.
