Cadence zipped up her jacket even tighter than it already was. It was cold outside for her, the thermometer probably said 70 but she kept getting cold chills sent up her spine. It wasn't a good feeling but it was better than being in 100 degree weather. She never loved the summer weather, the only good thing about summer was the fact that there was no school.
School just got out for the weekend, which made everything a tad bit brighter. Cay shivered some more... She didn't know why she was so cold. Maybe she was catching a cold? It could be because she was in short shorts, a tank top, and flip flops...but so were other people and they looked like they were sweating. Cay cuddled into her jacket which was more on the heavy side.
She wore her bathing suit underneath her clothes just in case she ran into some water, better safe than sorry. She opened the door to Mindys Bar & Grill. She was hungry, and cold so why not go into somewhere with warm air and food, it sounded perfect. Cadence waited in the line for about 1 minute and then ordered her food. She got a simple cheesburger and a drink, just a snack.
She sat at one of the back tables where the air wasn't blowing and waited for her food. There were only about 15 people in the Bar & Grill at the time, it must not have been a time that alot of people ate because it looked like a place that would normally look swamped. She layed her head down into her arms that were crossed on the table. She must have not gotten enough sleep last night because her eyes were about the win the battle between being awake and asleep.

Cadence got up to go to the restroom. There was nothing else to do while waiting for the food and she hadn't gone all day. She looked down at the floor while walking and slammed into a hard object. She didn't think it was a wall, but she was on the ground before she could figure it out.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. I should've been watching on where I was going. Do you need any help up?" She looked up to see who said that. Well walls couldn't talk, so that could be crossed off the list, must have been a person. She rubbed her eyes and then looked at the person in the eyes. He was really cute, and around her age.
He didn't give Cadence any time so respond and immediately escorted her back to the table she was originally sitting at. "Don't worry about it, it was as much my fault as it was mine. I wasn't watching where I was going either. "I'm Kylan Masters, but I go by Kyle. Sorry again. Uh..mind if I sit with you?" The guy, Kyle, said. "Hi Kyle, I'm Cadence Bell. You can call me whatever you want. I go by Cadence, Cady, Cade, Cay, and some people call me Bell, so pretty much anything. So just take your pick.” She smiled, she really did have a lot of nicknames when you thought about it. People always came up with nicknames for her. Out of both her first name and her last name.
“Oh, and yes… of course you can sit with me, Casper won’t mind” She joked. She fiddled with her hair and twirled it around and around. “So… did you order yet? I already did, I hope it’s good. I’ve never been here before, have you?” She asked, trying to start up some sort of conversation.

"I'll stick with calling you Cadence. And nice to meet you." Kyle said with a small laugh. "Oh, alright, stick with the more original name." She smiled. He was really cute, she hadn't seen anyone that cute in a long time. His smile was so amazing, the best smile shes seen on anyone in a long time. "Well, that's good. Sorry Casper. You can see with the lady another time." Kyle joked, flashing another brilliant smile. "I guess he just might have to." Cadence smiled.
Cadence sat patiently as Kyles waitress came over and said that she didn't have a problem with him moving. Cadence watched as Kyle kindly unfolded the napkin and put it on his lap. "Hmm...guys got class. I like that." Cadence winked and then lifted one side of her mouth into a smile. Cadence grabbed her napkin which was still folding next to her plate and gently put it on her lap. She patted her lap and then looked back up at Kyle.
Cadence saw that Kyle got her food. Not long after her food came along with it. She also ordered a cheesesburger, it looked really good. "Yum yum.." She smiled. She topped ketchup, mustard, and mayo on top of the sandwich and then added tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions and whatever else was on the side. The more the merrier or...tastier.
Kyle took the first bite and watching it being ate made her all the more hungry "Mmm, don't worry. The food is out of this world." Kyle said after he finished chewing. "Oh, well then I can't wait to try it!" She smiled and looked down at her food. "And their lemonade is amazing as well." Kyle added. "Hmm...." She flagged the waitress down and asked her for a cup of lemonade. " I suppose I'll have to try it for myself then!" She smiled and then waited for the waitress to bring back the lemonade.
Cadence took her first bite of her burger and her eyes beamed at the taste of the food, it was excellent. "Mmm...yeah. That food is absolutly amazing! I'm going to be sad when its all gone!" She made a fake pouty face. Her lemonade came back and she took a sip. "Oh, youre right, the lemonade is amazing too! It's perfect. I'm going to have to start coming here more often!" She flashed him a huge smile.
"So, what brought you here tonight Ca--I mean Miss Bell?" Kyle asked sounded like a gentleman. "Well...I was freezing outside for some reason. I know it's really not that cold outside but for some reason I was chilly. Which is why I have a jacket that is more on the heavy side." Cadence said and then adjusted her jacket on the back of the seat. "And, of course, I was hungry and the smell of the tasty food dragged me in." She smiled. "What about you?" [/color] [/i]

Cadence smiled when he said it wasn't right to be a copy catter. "I guess not, but copy catters get places, because they get to try new things for example!" She smiled and looked at the lemonade on the table. "It really is great lemonade. I really need to start coming here more often, or I'll ask for the recipe. Do you think they would give it to me" Cadence winked. She took another sip of the lemonade that tasted great. She kept drinking it and drinking it and pretty soon it was down to about 3 or so sips left. It saddened her because it was so good. She flagged down the waitress and got another cup. "I feel like such a fatty" she laughed. "But its so god, I just can't help it." Cadence smiled and then pushed her lemonade away so that she wouldn't keep constantly drinking it.
Kyle explained about how he woke up from a really long nap and was just plain hungry and lazy. Cadence smiled because that sounded exactly like her. She was always taking naps and she was always hungry. She wondered where it all went because she was a pretty skinny person on average. "Yeah I get what you mean, I take naps a lot, and I'm lazy a lot. Plus, I think this is now my favorite restaurant, and not just because I met you here." She winked with a smile. She took another drink of her lemonade and finished off the cheeseburger that was sitting in front of her. "Want any of the fries? I'd be more than happy to share." She offered pointing at the huge pile of fries that sat there.
Kyle paid for his meal just as Cadence was near finished with hers. She ate a few of the fries but she couldn't eat anymore. As amazing as this place was she was just about full of food for the moment. Of course, though, the lemonade could still find room in her stomach. She still had 3/4 of lemonade left. She took another drink and made it 1/2 full now. "This is actually amazing lemonade. I don't think I've ever tasted better." Cadence laughed. Kyle probably thought she was weird for freaking out about the amazing taste of the lemonade but it was just something that couldn't be ignored in her mind.
Kyle asked if Cadence wanted to do ride or walk around Megalopolis, or maybe even go to the park. "Actually, you know what... that sounds like a great idea. I need to spend more time outside in Megalopolis. I'm always in my house doing nothing, I don't really have that many friends here though, so that could be a reason." Cadence smiled. She had a few friends but not many, none that she would be out with everyday.
Cadence flagged down the waitress after finished up what was left of her food and lemonade. "Hey, I'm actually finished now. Can I get the bill?" She asked and then waited for the waitress to come back with the bill. It took her about 5 minutes because the restaurant was beginning to get a bit busy. "Here you go." She said handing the bill to Cadence. "Hold on, I'll get the money out." Cady said and then reached into her purse to get out 13 dollars. Please keep the change, it would be my pleasure." She smiled and then watched the waitress form a smile and walk back to the kitchen. "I think we made her day with the tips." Cadence smiled at Kyle. She tapped her foot on the ground and tapped her fingers on the table waiting for a response.
